Through the Moonpool is the body of work from my Scotland Year of the Artist Residency at Subsea 7 in Aberdeen (now Subsea 7) where I investigated the design, production and operation of remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) used in the offshore oil industry.   In 2001 I showed  the whole body of work in the Aberdeen Maritime Museum which included a live transmission from an ROV located within the museum. In 2002 I exhibited the work in The Shetland Museum. In 2003 I was selected to take part in the pva Art Lab at the Eden Project in Cornwall where I worked with new media specialists to produce new works, an interactive CD-Rom and a film, Through the Moonpool.
