The Roseland Shed, Roseland in Roydon was part of the large project Common or Garden, organised by Epping Forest Arts. I worked in the village of Roydon with Primary 5 at the local primary school to customise a garden shed with wheels and a variety of fixtures and fittings. We made a procession through the village to take the garden shed to the village green. We held a Pink Tea Party, grew 150 plants and organised a Roseland Plant Exchange on the Roydon village green. Two boys in particular took to the project with great enthusiasm, and I will always be grateful to them, and often wonder what they are doing now. One day while we were painting the shed, a boy remarked that people say boys don't like pink, but it's not true!

The Roseland Plant Exchange took place over the third weekend in June 2006 in Roydon. Two weeks later it was re-enacted in Theydon Bois during the Common or Garden weekend finale.
