I worked with Cath Bristow for this small project in the 1990s.  We sat in the Imperial War Museum and knitted these single gloves, as above right.  I enjoyed it immensely as a kind of guerrilla action.  Knitting is so portable and at the time it hadn't become as fashionable as it is today, so we presented an unusual site.
